Circuit
Nurburgring
Nurburg, Germany
The Nurburgring lies in the Eifel mountains of Germany, and the modern grand prix circuit sits alongside the vast, legendary Nordschleife, one of the most storied stretches of tarmac in all of motorsport. The current track is technical and undulating, and its mountain location often brings cold, damp and rapidly changing conditions that test a driver's feel for grip and a team's read of the weather.
Few names in racing carry the weight of the Nurburgring. The history soaked into the surrounding forest and the old circuit gives any event held here a distinctive sense of occasion, a link back to an older, more daunting era of the sport.

- “That is the checker mate. P9, P9. Fantastic work. Awesome laps at the end to survive that restart. Brilliant job, mate. Absolutely brilliant. Everybody's absolutely ecstatic. Brilliant job. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Feels good. It's been a long time. Good job, boys. Thank you for the work. And yeah, you sure again that when there's no practice and so on, you're the boys. You're the boys. Awesome job from you, man, as well. Even with a dodgy finger. Brilliant drive, mate. Brilliant. Active fingers back to life. Sort of. Bien joué, Romain. Bien joué. Absolument fantastique. Merci, ami. Bon français. Bravo. Merci, merci, merci. Thanks to everybody. Great job, Romain. Thank you. Thank you, guys. Thank you for never giving up. Yeah, good to us. Not something we do, giving up. Correct. But all the boys, they don't give up. Thank you, guys, again.”Romain GROSJEAN · 2020 Race
- “It's not as cold as yesterday, right? To be honest, it's very similar. We've just got a bit of sun at the moment, but that's going to disappear pretty quickly. It's difficult to predict, but I definitely felt that the front was sliding a lot just there. Not a lot of grip. Yeah, I think that's going to be pretty much all down to temperature. We've seen a lot of pinches and also some rear underrotation, so yeah, once we've got a bit of surface temp in there, I think the grip will come to you. I feel like with the understeer like I just had and what I had yesterday, you're just slow because you're waiting for the car to turn and it just doesn't turn, so I'm eager to keep winging.”Lewis HAMILTON · 2020 Race
- “Good job here, really good race. Shame we didn't get it, but it was always going to be a bit difficult with the McLaren. I tried everything. Really good communication today. We made the right decisions and you've done a very good race. You should be pleased. I'm happy. I enjoyed the overtaking. I had some nice battles. Did we finish P6? Yeah, so that's P6. Keep going like this and on Sundays we'll definitely be better. We're going to our quality pace, but we'll get there. Yeah, good results. Thank you. I'm looking forward to see Siri's tattoo now. That's going to be fun.”Pierre GASLY · 2020 Race
- “Well done, Checo. Well done. P4. P4. That was close, guys. Good job. Good recovery, anyway. Checo, pick up the rubber. Pick up the rubber. Can you go back to go one? Go back to go one and turn ACS off. Well done. Did Nico score any points? Yes, mate. Nico did well. P8. P8. Well done. Well done. Where did the other Reynolds and McInerney finish? It was good. We reversed the collar on the stopper. Yeah, correct. Checo, correct. He was close at the wrist and I nearly got picked up. We saw. We were watching.”Sergio PEREZ · 2020 Race
