Emilia Romagna Grand Prix 2021: Practice 3 team radio
36 radio messages were recorded during practice 3 at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix 2021, across 14 drivers. 35 of them have a transcript; the rest are audio only. Mick SCHUMACHER had the most, with 7.
These are transcripts of real team radio audio, produced by speech recognition and presented as an archive rather than as edited prose. Radio is clipped and noisy, so wording can be imperfect. Each message is attributed to the driver or their engineer, and the original audio is playable in the archive.

Engineer: All in sync remember mode push mode push
Engineer: Ok, still nobody behind, so box, practice pit entry and stop on position.
Engineer: Okay, our lap was deleted for track limit turn nine. Copy.
Engineer: So we had a track limits at turn 9. We got track limits turn 9 and we lost the lap. Mick did also.
Nikita MAZEPIN: Copy, can you check on the video to see if I was actually out?
Engineer: Yes, we are checking now.
Engineer: How did the tires feel at the start of the lap? The temps were even a little bit lower than yesterday.
Mick SCHUMACHER: Yeah, I tried to be a bit more, let's say, quick in terms of warm-up. The tires felt okay, I guess. Okay, understood.
Engineer: Yeah, your lap was pushing more. It's just the lower track and stuff. It just didn't get as much temp. So, okay, we'll see what it's like on the next push. You're all in sync.
Engineer: possible let's try not to lose too much temperature out of the rear left to try and maintain rear left temperature if you can
Engineer: Less headwind to turn 9 than yesterday, less headwind.
Engineer: Okay, I'm just checking, Mick, are you hearing tones because you're positive on delta time? Are the tones working? Yes, the tones are working. Okay, understood.
Engineer: Wind looks calmer than yesterday. 8 kph tailwind into 7. Not very much wind at all in turn 9.
Nikita MAZEPIN: I cannot see the traffic light.
Engineer: Ok, if we do the pre-start rev check. Ok Nikita, if you talk on the radio the guys can hear you and we can just make sure that traffic light is visible.
Engineer: So that's 18-1, that's put you P-9. The clerk is P-1, there is 16-7.
Esteban OCON: Copy, traction is slightly worse now, down 12 exit, compared to yesterday.
Nicholas LATIFI: Front wing will be damaged.
Engineer: Okay, let's go.
Lando NORRIS: I have some oscillations on throttle at turn 17, I think, the second to last corner.
Engineer: Understood, we're checking now.
Engineer: And work on tires and brakes tires and brakes as much as you can especially front we need weaving we need weaving
Audio only, no transcript available for this message.
Lando NORRIS: Still the oscillation, 10-17 exit, or 10-18.
Engineer: Understood.
Engineer: Just to confirm, at turn 7 you used right hand toggle, right hand toggle makes the car more stable, copy that to be sure.
Max VERSTAPPEN: I kind of went a bit wide there.
Pierre GASLY: Got a big snub
Engineer: What was the balance in the last two corners like this lap? Was it the same as the previous or was the front better? Similar.
Mick SCHUMACHER: I have like, it feels like shattering in turn 18.
Engineer: Okay. Yep, understood. So overall, do you think you could just simply have taken more flap? Is understeer still the limitation? Are you starting to have a weak rear somewhere?
Mick SCHUMACHER: I'm starting to have
Engineer: a
Mick SCHUMACHER: weak rear. Yeah,
Engineer: understood. We do have, we still have some rear locking we could work on, but maybe we're getting there. Okay.
Yuki TSUNODA: POTUS IS F***ING I JUST
Engineer: IT'S F***ING
George RUSSELL: Think we overdid the fronts
Engineer: And that lap time was deleted, turn nine, lap time deleted.
Yuki TSUNODA: Nice f***ing paradise, like traffic paradise. What is this one?
Lando NORRIS: Struggling at a bit 10-7 with the rotation.
Engineer: OK, understood.
Pierre GASLY: The steering is still a bit bent, so I'm going to run right and side down.
Engineer: How is the balance? On
Sergio PEREZ: the neutral side in the turn sector 1 The neutral covered towards the end
Engineer: Copy
Antonio GIOVINAZZI: Why is the terrace so cold?
Engineer: We're checking, Antonio.
Engineer: So Antonio, okay to stay out?
Antonio GIOVINAZZI: Yeah, I was just to cool the tires.
Lando NORRIS: I had a noise again as I left the box.
Engineer: Understood.
Engineer: Just take some caution, your front tyres are a little bit cold.
Max VERSTAPPEN: Yeah, I wonder why.
Engineer: What was the tire like? What was the balance like on that third push?
Mick SCHUMACHER: Seems like it doesn't really change anything with the
Engineer: switches and stuff that we do, but I think in general it's it's okay. Yeah, it's alright to drive. It's pretty good Yeah, it looks good compared to the people we want to look at
