Styrian Grand Prix 2021: Race team radio

159 radio messages were recorded during race at the Styrian Grand Prix 2021, across 20 drivers. 156 of them have a transcript; the rest are audio only. Max VERSTAPPEN had the most, with 25.

These are transcripts of real team radio audio, produced by speech recognition and presented as an archive rather than as edited prose. Radio is clipped and noisy, so wording can be imperfect. Each message is attributed to the driver or their engineer, and the original audio is playable in the archive.

Fernando ALONSO: Yeah, I don't know what else to do for the oversteer.

  37. Valtteri BOTTASMercedes

Engineer: So Perez two seconds ahead just close the gap, but don't take anything out of the tires

  38. Nikita MAZEPINHaas

    Engineer: The

Nikita MAZEPIN: rears are starting to go.

Engineer: Okay, let's focus on those entry lifts and exit management.

  39. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

  41. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: And Verstappen at 9.6, gap at 2.9, and if you can give us a balance check when you can.

Lewis HAMILTON: Balance OK, all rear end.

  42. Fernando ALONSOAlpine

Engineer: Ok, how are the tyres and what's your status?

Fernando ALONSO: Status 5 because they oversteered. I hope they cool down a little bit and we pick up performance later.

Engineer: Ok, understood. Temperatures are coming down at the moment.

  43. Daniel RICCIARDOMcLaren

Engineer: Okay Daniel, P6 is Stroll. He's only 7.4 seconds ahead and his last lap was a 1.11.6. That's a long-winded way of saying this is still on mate, this is still on.

  44. George RUSSELLWilliams

Engineer: Okay, George, we need to convert to plan B for reliability. So let's pick up the pace.

  45. Daniel RICCIARDOMcLaren

Engineer: Okay Daniel, P6 is Stroll. He's only 7.4 seconds ahead and his last lap was a 1.11.6. That's a long-winded way of saying this is still on, mate. This is still on.

Daniel RICCIARDO: Okay, I got you.

  46. George RUSSELLWilliams

    George RUSSELL: Copy that, happy.

Engineer: And we can upgrade the overtake if you need.

  47. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: They've been struggling a little bit.

  48. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Max VERSTAPPEN: I'll call it, but it's got to drive now.

  49. Carlos SAINZFerrari

Carlos SAINZ: I feel a bit stuck on here, there are

    Engineer: a

Carlos SAINZ: few gravel strides, but we have more pace.

    Engineer: Copy that.

  50. Lance STROLLAston Martin

Lance STROLL: It's not stabilizing temperatures.

  51. Valtteri BOTTASMercedes

Engineer: So you're stronger than Luis in low speed.

  52. Lando NORRISMcLaren

Engineer: OK Lando, how are the tyres and how far past the target can you go?

Lando NORRIS: I mean it's quite consistent, I'm quite comfortable so I feel like I can go a long way at this rate.

  53. Fernando ALONSOAlpine

Fernando ALONSO: Any update on the target lock I'm happy to extend as long as there are no threats

Engineer: Okay, we're at least on target. We're at least on target yet

  54. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: OK, your last lap at 9.5, Hamilton at 9.8, gap at 4.6.

  55. Valtteri BOTTASMercedes

Engineer: You're gaining hand over face there

  56. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: Can't match that time man

Engineer: Okay, copy just keep doing what you're doing

  57. Sergio PEREZRed Bull

Engineer: Okay Checo, so Bottas is closing in. We're considering our options.

  58. Esteban OCONAlpine

Engineer: Safety car and VSC window open. Safety car and VSC windows both open.

  59. Mick SCHUMACHERHaas

Engineer: We need to make this tire go long to make this work, but that pace was good.

  60. Antonio GIOVINAZZIAlfa Romeo

Engineer: I box and slap. Box, box.

  61. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

    Engineer: It's

Lewis HAMILTON: time to get slow vibrations.

  62. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

    Lewis HAMILTON: Blue flags.

  63. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Max VERSTAPPEN: The wind makes it difficult.

  64. Sebastian VETTELAston Martin

Engineer: Sebastian, keep pulling the right hand side of the car.

Sebastian VETTEL: They are just hot. The tyres are just hot.

    Engineer: Yeah, copy that.

  65. Valtteri BOTTASMercedes

Engineer: So everything you got, strap 5.

  66. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: Wind looked calmer that time. Yeah, I nearly feel it in the car. Copy.

  67. George RUSSELLWilliams

George RUSSELL: Brian give me a thumbs up when they put it in gear because the orange light is always on

    Engineer: Give

George RUSSELL: me a thumbs up or tell me something when they put it in gear

  68. Lance STROLLAston Martin

Lance STROLL: No more tires push push push

  69. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: Box and pit confirm please Max. Box, pit confirm.

  70. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: Strat 12 in pit lane, Strat 12 in pit lane

  71. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

    Engineer: Strat 8, Strat 8, Torque 9, Torque 9, Hamilton turn 10

  72. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: So this is all about who makes it to the end but 42 laps remain

  73. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: OK, you are clear, so let's bring these tyres in nicely, first couple of laps will be a long stint.

  74. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

    Engineer: Let

Lewis HAMILTON: me know if I push too much

  75. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Max VERSTAPPEN: VBW, pull there, quickly.

Engineer: We're looking into it, Max.

  76. Lance STROLLAston Martin

Engineer: it's hard tire Lance hard time yeah

Lance STROLL: well I'm not locking up so it's okay anyways thank you for reminding me and I'll see you soon

  77. George RUSSELLWilliams

George RUSSELL: I keep getting a blue flag alarm on my desk

  78. Mick SCHUMACHERHaas

Audio only, no transcript available for this message.

  79. George RUSSELLWilliams

    George RUSSELL: I keep getting

  80. Mick SCHUMACHERHaas

Engineer: Blue flag Hamilton blue flag Hamilton

  81. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: Got a lot of d-rays everywhere

  82. Sergio PEREZRed Bull

Engineer: Stay until we are left in coast, it will help the tyres. We are left in particulars still building.

  83. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: These will be the critical laps for the stint. These are the critical laps for the stint.

  84. Carlos SAINZFerrari

Engineer: How many laps do you think you can sustain at this pace, or at the bottom? Well, at

Carlos SAINZ: least five, for sure. Understood.

  85. Yuki TSUNODAAlphaTauri

Engineer: Yuki, we need a 9.9, you need a 10.1, thank

Yuki TSUNODA: you. Where are the signs?

Engineer: Signs will be side by side to us now.

  86. Charles LECLERCFerrari

Engineer: And we need lift and coast for brake temps when you can.

Charles LECLERC: I'm trying as much as I can.

Engineer: Understood, you are doing a good job.

  87. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: So Max, expect Hamilton to push. We're fine for the moment. Are we comfortable with the plan? Seemed like we had better degradation at the end of that last in as well.

  88. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: Do I need to manage more?

Engineer: Lewis, we're thinking the other direction, let's try and close that gap down

  89. Sebastian VETTELAston Martin

    Engineer: Once

Sebastian VETTEL: the pace of cars ahead pretty much where we are at the moment

  90. Daniel RICCIARDOMcLaren

Daniel RICCIARDO: Every time I get close, I just hurt the tyres.

Engineer: Understood. Do you think it is possible?

    Daniel RICCIARDO: No.

    Engineer: Copy.

  91. Daniel RICCIARDOMcLaren

Engineer: Box to overtake Raikkonen. Box to overtake Raikkonen. Understood.

    Daniel RICCIARDO: He's boxing.

  92. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: How do I reset my dash? Delta.

Engineer: Standby. And it looks if you go chassis default 0-0 that will reset your dash. Chassis 0-0.

  93. Nikita MAZEPINHaas

Engineer: Ok Mads, Mick is 2.2 behind, let's focus on exit speed, turn 1 Please

Nikita MAZEPIN: let me just do my job It's either we stay in front or...

  94. Daniel RICCIARDOMcLaren

Engineer: Raikkonen last lap was a 10.5 if you can gap him we're good

  95. Yuki TSUNODAAlphaTauri

Engineer: Okay, Yuki, let's push one step more on tyres. We are good on tyres. We need to cover for signs. Push, push. Mate,

    Yuki TSUNODA: I am!

    Engineer: I

Yuki TSUNODA: can't pushing more because there is a lot of people. A lot of dirty air. Copy.

  96. Daniel RICCIARDOMcLaren

Daniel RICCIARDO: Bring the exit earlier in turn seven. Hard power earlier turn seven. Okay, yeah, rears. Rears are stopping me from doing that.

    Engineer: Copy.

  97. Kimi RAIKKONENAlfa Romeo

Kimi RAIKKONEN: I think he took my front wing.

  98. Kimi RAIKKONENAlfa Romeo

    Engineer: F***

Kimi RAIKKONEN: me, I think he took my front wing. Just f***ing turned. F***, he didn't keep his line.

Engineer: And go back to socket, I'll let you know.

  99. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: OK, enjoy the free air for a while.

  100. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: How much are we losing on the straights today?

Engineer: So from free air running looks like two and a half tenths in straight line

  101. Mick SCHUMACHERHaas

Engineer: You're one second a lap quicker than Nikita you're doing similar lap time to Alonso and Tsunoda

  102. Lando NORRISMcLaren

Engineer: And in our race, the car behind is now Sainz, 12.4, who stopped three laps ago.

  103. Valtteri BOTTASMercedes

Valtteri BOTTAS: Just trying to bring the tires back to their temperature that bushing level there was unnecessary. I cooked the tires

  104. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: Gap is at 6.2. Let's hold it there Hamilton last lap 8.8

  105. Yuki TSUNODAAlphaTauri

    Engineer: This is f***ing

Yuki TSUNODA: dangerous. He moved into the braking zone.

    Engineer: Copy, we're ready next.

  106. Carlos SAINZFerrari

Engineer: And the life prediction from Charles was ample on the hard. Ample. The tires are good. We took Charles a tire off the hard and we are good to go to the end. Easy.

  107. Nikita MAZEPINHaas

Nikita MAZEPIN: The Rio Tais are in a pretty bad place.

  108. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

    Engineer: I'm having

Lewis HAMILTON: to push so much.

Engineer: OK, Luce, it's all about getting to the end now, so 20 laps remaining.

  109. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

    Max VERSTAPPEN: Brake pedal again!

Engineer: Ok, understood Matt. So we think that's related to the kerbs at turn 9-10.

  110. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Max VERSTAPPEN: Like we never take any care man, what the f*** is that?

Engineer: Let's just not take any undue risk here Max. I'll

Max VERSTAPPEN: try to take care there, but it's really random what happens.

    Engineer: Yep, understood.

  111. Fernando ALONSOAlpine

Fernando ALONSO: Please, the distance with the stroll, every sector.

    Engineer: OK, understood.

    Fernando ALONSO: So,

    Engineer: 1.2 at the moment.

  112. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: Max so specifically the issue is breaking turn 10 whilst on the curb just for information

  113. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: Front right, small blistering.

    Engineer: Okay, copy.

  114. Daniel RICCIARDOMcLaren

Engineer: Let's go mate, let's go. Next one's Räikkönen.

  115. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: Hey Max, so specifically the issue is braking turn 10 whilst on the kerb, just for information. Gap 7.5.

Max VERSTAPPEN: Oh, mate, did you see that moment in 7?

Engineer: Seen that, a change in wind.

  116. Yuki TSUNODAAlphaTauri

    Yuki TSUNODA: No tire.

  117. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

    Engineer: Verstappen 8.8, gap 8.0 I don't understand, 8.8 and 8.0, what's that? The gap 8.0

Lewis HAMILTON: What should I do? I can't close that gap

Engineer: Options are just battling it out on the tyre deck

  118. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: And Lewis had track limits again at turn 10. So just be careful with the track limits, Lewis. We're looking at a penalty otherwise.

  119. Sergio PEREZRed Bull

Engineer: So Bottas' lap at 10.5. He's struggling with these back markers. Do

Sergio PEREZ: you think we will get him?

Engineer: We're going to be on him at the end of the race.

  120. Esteban OCONAlpine

Engineer: Givinazzi 35 lap old hards, let's see if we can get him

  121. Mick SCHUMACHERHaas

Engineer: Wind strength increasing more tailwind into turn one now

  122. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Max VERSTAPPEN: It's Mid-Arkansas for you, the weather.

    Engineer: Copy, understood.

  123. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

    Engineer: Is

    Lewis HAMILTON: there rain coming?

    Engineer: Nothing on the radar.

  124. Sergio PEREZRed Bull

Engineer: The space is good, we're going to be on him on the final lap.

  125. Esteban OCONAlpine

Engineer: Consider using overtake down to turn nine to keep up with Giovinazzi.

  126. Valtteri BOTTASMercedes

Engineer: You're doing a good job, Valtteri. You're still looking good. Ricciardo 1.4 ahead.

  127. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: And Lewis, we're happy to let science go, if you haven't just pushed too much.

  128. Carlos SAINZFerrari

Engineer: Okay, you can try to un-lap yourself. I

Carlos SAINZ: can't. It would be very risky because I throw on the main set.

  129. Valtteri BOTTASMercedes

Engineer: And heavy rear tyres for the last lap is more important. So Paris is not predicted to catch you. If it is, it is at the very end of the last lap.

  130. Yuki TSUNODAAlphaTauri

Yuki TSUNODA: Negative, I have understood, mid exit, a lot.

  131. Carlos SAINZFerrari

Carlos SAINZ: Hi, I will do this one. Thank you guys

  132. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: There will be blue flags for Mazepin and Latifi, and they are racing.

  133. Daniel RICCIARDOMcLaren

Engineer: stick with him and it'll make life difficult for Raikkonen and Vettel.

  134. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: it's bouncing under pressure and

Engineer: negative not at the moment but maybe towards the end of the race

  135. Lance STROLLAston Martin

Lance STROLL: Something feels funny. It could either be pit-up or the fact that you're behind the sea-matter. Yep, something feels funny. Pressures are all over

    Engineer: it.

    Lance STROLL: Really funny.

  136. Lando NORRISMcLaren

Engineer: And Lambeau, a few drops possible, nothing significant.

  137. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: OK, so box, box, we're going for the fastest lap.

  138. Lando NORRISMcLaren

Engineer: Two laps to go, gap to sights, seven.

Lando NORRIS: Yeah, I don't need the gap, it's all good.

  139. Lance STROLLAston Martin

    Engineer: and blue

    Lance STROLL: flags move.

  140. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: Ah mate, that was just perfect. Nothing more to say than that. Really perfect. Fantastic. What a drive, mate.

Max VERSTAPPEN: Yeah, unbelievable. The car was on fire today. So nice to drive. Unbelievable. Thank you very much.

Engineer: That was absolutely clinical, Max. That's a great, great drive. Keep turning that screw. Well done.

Max VERSTAPPEN: And another win at home. Feels really good.

  141. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: Well done mate, good job today. So we got past this lap, and it's P2. I

Lewis HAMILTON: gave it everything guys. Let's keep pushing. Not the result we wanted, but still got good points.

  142. Valtteri BOTTASMercedes

Engineer: Well done, Valtteri. Valtteri, hot ride, but well done. Yeah, well done. It was a bit close at the end. No ties, though.

  143. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: That was perfect mate, absolutely perfect. Great pace, great deg, you managed it better than anyone out there. I don't know what to say, it was perfect.

Max VERSTAPPEN: The tyres were holding on really well, it was actually really enjoyable to drive.

Engineer: Yeah, let's try and do the same again next week. Max, I'm sending Helmut as a Styrian to go and get the trophy with you today, so make sure you give him plenty up there. Styrian Grand Prix, let's make sure it's a good one.

Max VERSTAPPEN: Oh yeah, you definitely won't escape that one.

  144. Nikita MAZEPINHaas

Engineer: Ok Maus, that's the checker, that's the checker. Good drive on your side, that train of blues was very unfortunate but until then that was a good drive, nice work. Did you get

Nikita MAZEPIN: those blues or not? He

Engineer: got about four of them, so nowhere near as bad as we did. How

Nikita MAZEPIN: much behind did I finish in the end with this blue stuff?

Engineer: That's 41 seconds, 41 seconds. I'm going mode slow, mode slow. Till the blue though mate, you were within three seconds of him. In that blue pack they were fighting between them so their pace wasn't as good and so Mick just managed to stay ahead for a bit longer than we did. Good job on the opening laps as well mate, to take that opportunity, that was real nice.

Nikita MAZEPIN: Yeah with the current pace man, that's the only opportunity I have to be alert and to be honest I cannot make a cleaner race than this. Yeah, let's talk about it.

Engineer: No problem. No problem mate, box Nikita box, box Nikita box. When you come to a stop go P1, wait three seconds and then P0.

  145. Sergio PEREZRed Bull

Engineer: Oh Checo, that was close. Great chase there, great chase. That was a hell of a recovery Checo, I'm sorry about the pit stop. That was a great drive, well done. Sorry guys, sorry there. Good job for the win. Well done on that one.

  146. Nicholas LATIFIWilliams

Engineer: Okay, checkered flag, checkered flag. You go in, go in, and pick up rubber, pick up rubber. So you end up P17, P17. After the puncture, having lost a lot of time, it's not a bad race mate. You came back on Mars and Schumacher is only 30 seconds ahead. You lost a lot of lap time, a lot of time initially.

Nicholas LATIFI: Did we get points?

Engineer: Uh, Russell had to retire. Russell had to retire. How

Nicholas LATIFI: early on was that?

Engineer: It was around mid-race. I think there was a solid race after the puncture mate. As it was done, and just focusing on what you were doing with the tyre and the pace, it was not easy with all these blue flags. I think there was a strong mate, strong job today. Unfortunate first lap. Yeah,

Nicholas LATIFI: I mean I was locked in from exit of turn one all the way up. To where I was, I had nowhere to go.

    Engineer: But

Nicholas LATIFI: yeah, we have to understand this balance for the race, which is so limiting. Not even using my front tyres.

Engineer: Copy. We'll review that for next weekend.

  147. Charles LECLERCFerrari

Engineer: Charles Leclerc, congratulations, you are driver of the day. Damage at the beginning of the race, but then a fantastic result. Tell us about your race.

    Charles LECLERC: It's

    Engineer: a

Charles LECLERC: bit of a bittersweet feeling, to be honest. On one hand, it's probably one of my best performances ever in F1, but on the other hand, it's only a P7 and I wish we were fighting a bit more in front, but unfortunately with what happened in the first lap, yeah, that's where we finished. But at the same time, I've had so much fun, so many of the takes, the pace was incredible. So, yeah, very happy.

Engineer: It's been great fun to watch. Congratulations, Charles, driver of the day at the Styrian Grand Prix.

  148. Lando NORRISMcLaren

    Lando NORRIS: Okay mate, that's

    Engineer: the

Lando NORRIS: chequered flag, it's P5, nice consistent drive there,

    Engineer: well

Lando NORRIS: done, P5. Yeah, that's

    Engineer: all

Lando NORRIS: we could do today, good job everyone, good points again, but too far off the others, so let's try again next week, good everyone. Yeah, we'll come back next week again.

Engineer: Well done mate, good race, very well managed the tyres and yeah, that's what we had today, well done.

Lando NORRIS: Yeah cheers, yeah not even much to do with the tyres,

    Engineer: it's

Lando NORRIS: better, yeah I don't know, just that's it, that's all we had so.

Engineer: Next time you leave the tyres in the garage mate, you don't need to play with them.

Lando NORRIS: Yeah you can go home now mate, I don't think you need to do anything more.

    Engineer: On my way.

  149. Mick SCHUMACHERHaas

Engineer: Great job on that C2, those laps were amazing, you held off like 10 of those cars for ages. You did everything you could with that tire.

Mick SCHUMACHER: Yeah, copy. Car felt really good at the pace, I think clean air in the beginning would have been good.

Engineer: Copy that, ok we can go mode slow, mode slow.

  150. Carlos SAINZFerrari

Engineer: And P6, P6, super race, well done, baby shark, baby shark.

Carlos SAINZ: Too strong, so to say. Yeah, thank you guys. Good race, very solid. Hard work pays off, so much better race pace this time. Very happy for everyone. Vamos.

Engineer: Yeah, it was the race we were thinking in the morning, so very well executed.

Carlos SAINZ: Pace must have been pretty good, no? After a pit stop, when everyone pitted and I stayed out.

Engineer: Yeah, that pace there was an unbelievable fast, yeah.

  151. Charles LECLERCFerrari

Engineer: And P7, P7, fantastic race, really nice.

Charles LECLERC: It's one of my best performances ever, but at the same time it's so

    Engineer: f***ing

Charles LECLERC: disappointing. I need to see the images, I don't know how much she moves left or not at the beginning.

  153. Lance STROLLAston Martin

Engineer: P8 Lance, P8, good job mate, good job, well done.

Lance STROLL: Good job guys, great job.

Engineer: I think all in all that was about it I'm afraid Lance, so good job, great first lap mate, well done.

Lance STROLL: Cheers man, that was great. Ferrari's had a little bit too much pace today.

  154. Fernando ALONSOAlpine

    Engineer: So

Fernando ALONSO: lucky with the Haas, he had the DRS, unbelievable, unbelievable, he towed him until 10-3, like teammates.

Engineer: Yeah, copy that mate, that's not all lucky estate, unfortunately, still got P90. Yeah,

Fernando ALONSO: next week, next week.

Engineer: And a good race from yourself, well managed on the tyres.

Fernando ALONSO: Yeah, good job guys, good pit stop, good strategy I think, yeah, next week. Next

    Engineer: week,

Fernando ALONSO: one race we will be so lucky, you know, we have so much credit on these races. Well done guys.

    Engineer: It

Fernando ALONSO: was tough, and a little bit boring, nothing happened.

Engineer: Yeah, like you say, one day will be your lucky day.

  155. Antonio GIOVINAZZIAlfa Romeo

Engineer: Yeah, difficult race Antonio, P15 at the end, give me P11.

  156. Yuki TSUNODAAlphaTauri

Engineer: P10, Yuki, P10. We did our best, Yuki. I think it was well managed.

Yuki TSUNODA: Yeah, good job guys. Really good job for mechanics and team.

    Engineer: But

Yuki TSUNODA: to be honest, I have a lot of things to do.

    Engineer: A

Yuki TSUNODA: lot of things to do for this one, to be honest. If I haven't pushed like hell in the beginning, I think I have a lot of tires in the end. And easily we can overtake that. But yeah, I know the situation is difficult, but we shouldn't just look at signs, because he was much faster than us, from soft things. Copy,

Engineer: Yuki. Point taken. We'll revise the situation. But you did well.

  157. Sebastian VETTELAston Martin

Engineer: Sorry about that, Sebastian, sorry about that. So, top ten, Verstappen, Hamilton, Bottas. Yeah, I saw it, I read it. Well, the tyres were absolutely dead at the end. There's nothing, nothing left.

  158. Esteban OCONAlpine

Engineer: Alright, well done, and nice last lap as well.

Esteban OCON: Yeah, OK guys. Yeah, difficult one, but we'll bounce back next week, we had a great chance to do that all over again, so let's do it.

Engineer: Absolutely. Well said, and good job once again. OK, so get some fluids on board, get some hydration in you. Difficult race, but well done, well managed. Tire management was very good. I think we've learnt a lot this week to take forward.

Esteban OCON: Yes, thank you Andy.

Engineer: Once again, well done, onwards and upwards.

  159. Daniel RICCIARDOMcLaren

Daniel RICCIARDO: Okay, that's the chequered flag. Finished P12. I think the pace was okay, mate. Just difficult overtaking. Stuck behind Raikkonen. Yeah, I mean, everything was undone. We put ourselves in a position and it was all undone. Obviously, that set it up from there. So, yeah, it sucks. Don't know what to say. Yeah, rough afternoon, mate. The good thing is, I think we understand everything. We know where the pace is and we're back here next week, to put it right. Cheers, Daniel. Try and get it. Yeah, we'll be alright in a week's time. Rough day, but we'll be alright in a week's time.
