Bahrain Grand Prix 2019: Practice 3 team radio
22 radio messages were recorded during practice 3 at the Bahrain Grand Prix 2019, across 15 drivers. 19 of them have a transcript; the rest are audio only. Daniel RICCIARDO had the most, with 4.
These are transcripts of real team radio audio, produced by speech recognition and presented as an archive rather than as edited prose. Radio is clipped and noisy, so wording can be imperfect. Each message is attributed to the driver or their engineer, and the original audio is playable in the archive.

Every message, in the order it happened
Engineer: splitting to the right on the braking. Understood.
Engineer: Check your DRS.
George RUSSELL: DRS is not working.
Engineer: Yep, okay, understood on the DRS.
George RUSSELL: Yeah, DRS works. Copy.
Antonio GIOVINAZZI: Yeah, front axis is not working, the temperature.
Engineer: Copy Antonio.
Kimi RAIKKONEN: Ok, why is it like when I have a PT4 on my steering wheel and I dash it shows PT3? Which one is it?
Engineer: When
Kimi RAIKKONEN: I put the switch
Engineer: in PT4 it says PT3 and I dash it. Ah, ok, I got what you said. Alright, I'm not sure. Which one is it? Yeah, but... Yeah, which... I just have to look which one it is. Ok, ok, we're having a look.
Kimi RAIKKONEN: No, yeah, I know. I have PT4 on the steering wheel, and that is just PT3. So there's one step different between the two, so tell me which one is right.
Engineer: Try PT3, I don't have time to have a look now.
Engineer: Yeah,
Romain GROSJEAN: if you've got any suggestion or not, big, big, big, big, big on the steer.
Robert KUBICA: I didn't know he was behind he just overtook me
Engineer: Check if we have rear left puncture. We may have rear left puncture.
Audio only, no transcript available for this message.
Nico HULKENBERG: We'll bail out of this, the track position was really sh**
Engineer: Look
Nico HULKENBERG: at people coming by and driving at us, he's going slow
Charles LECLERC: Where's the cars behind? Where's the other cars behind pushing?
Engineer: So behind pushing they are on the main straight so we have a good gap there. Cars behind it's Albon, Gasly and Ricciardo all in an outlap.
Daniel RICCIARDO: Just when I left the pin exit, had a bit of a cut in power, well, seems OK now.
Engineer: OK, understood.
Daniel RICCIARDO: Yep understood. Yeah quite a lot of understeer.

Engineer: copy that yeah
Daniil KVYAT: i locked up some uh with the front wheels into one and uh
Engineer: a
Daniil KVYAT: big understeer still through six copy
Engineer: donny do you think real support was any better
Daniil KVYAT: uh perhaps yeah given how the state of the tire was it's not bad but yeah the understeer was quite big there in turn six that's my main concern but the rest of the lab uh maybe it wasn't bad
Engineer: copy that box box down in box
Kevin MAGNUSSEN: Is my front right sensor working?
Engineer: It looks like it's not working, so it should be fine. It was okay here in the garage, now it's not working, just sensor. It's front left I think, but anyway, yep, it's okay, they're all okay.
Engineer: Looks like the places to find time are where there's tailwind, so turn 4 exit, turn 8 braking and turn 13 are the key places to try and find time.
Carlos SAINZ: Yeah it was not a very good lap, quite a lot of traffic in the second sector.
Lance STROLL: I'm
Engineer: just
Lance STROLL: going to go really slow for two laps. Is that okay for the pack?
Engineer: Yeah, that's fine for the pack. Verstappen behind, flying left.
Daniel RICCIARDO: I suffered quite a lot with understeer, but Saxton's still quite weak but still able to rotate the car in the low speed.
Engineer: Bit of a messy lap there, what were you thinking about balance?
Valtteri BOTTAS: Yeah, the car was a lot more oversteery with that setup, so that's why it was quite messy. Copy, thank you.
