Brazilian Grand Prix 2019: Race team radio

148 radio messages were recorded during race at the Brazilian Grand Prix 2019, across 19 drivers. 141 of them have a transcript; the rest are audio only. Lewis HAMILTON had the most, with 34.

These are transcripts of real team radio audio, produced by speech recognition and presented as an archive rather than as edited prose. Radio is clipped and noisy, so wording can be imperfect. Each message is attributed to the driver or their engineer, and the original audio is playable in the archive.

Who was on the radio

Every message, in the order it happened

  1. Carlos SAINZMcLaren

Engineer: So Carlos, I think you're number two in the queue. We don't want to launch, we just want to pull away from here and you can drive straight out through the pit exit.

  2. Nico HULKENBERGRenault

Engineer: Just a comment Nico, you were stopped for six and a half seconds at the end of the pit lane, we're likely to get some heat from the FIA if we do any more than that.

  3. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: My stereo has a bit of play in it. Bit loose.

  4. Daniel RICCIARDORenault

Engineer: Just a reminder to stay positive on the brakes and some start feedback so your paddle drop was a bit short and you crept a bit on throttle.

  5. Nico HULKENBERGRenault

Nico HULKENBERG: No, front wing adjust

Engineer: Copy that Niko, so driving straight through, for info both clutch drops have been perfect

  6. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: OK, Max, box and confirm, box, would you like a front wing adjustment?

Max VERSTAPPEN: No, that's all good.

Engineer: OK, box, very busy at pit lane entry, so take care.

  7. Antonio GIOVINAZZIAlfa Romeo

Antonio GIOVINAZZI: There is a lot of vibration on the brakes again.

Engineer: Copy Antonio. So we will do another race start.

  8. Daniel RICCIARDORenault

Daniel RICCIARDO: Ok, yeah I locked pretty bad into 4, so I didn't push the rest of the lap. Vibration was quite big so I didn't want to upset anything else.

    Engineer: Yeah, ok, understood.

Daniel RICCIARDO: I'll come rewards a bit more for the start.

    Engineer: Ok, copy that.

  9. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: Grip down there, my dog was quite high when I did the target, it just felt under engaged, so that's why I tried a little bit more on this last one. Understood Lewis, I think that is more than what will be available on the grid, but it was a good exercise. Yeah, I totally understand. I do think it's going to be more than the target though, so maybe 2%, something like that, so I practiced that.

  10. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: Radio check from the garage Yeah loud and clear Where's the other car wing setting wise? They are currently the same aerobalance as us Valtteri's pretty happy with his balance Little bit on the unsteer side but he thinks he's going to stick with the wing setting he's got And yeah that track temp's still at 40 Sorry, what did you say there? He's got the same wing? Yeah, same aerobalance as us

  11. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: and tracked up at the moment and steady at 49 degrees

  12. Charles LECLERCFerrari

Charles LECLERC: Charlie, I think we forgot to speak about that, I mean, we did during the briefing, but I don't think I had the confirmation later on. Byte point before, yeah, for the formation lap or not?

Engineer: Yes, I go through all this.

  13. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: OK, run through the formation lab procedures, as we've just discussed, the gearbox is not synced, so please sync that as soon as you can, preferably by turn 4, otherwise pit limiter off, we do not need a pit lane speed limiter, a static 5.5 once the car is fired up and on the ground, and then carry out your damage with launch to 3rd gear, expect wheelspin as normal, and then mode 12 before turn 1. Now, we've spoken about the formation lab pace, but concentrate on your procedures for rear tyre temperature, if you can, between 1st and 2nd gears during the formation lab for clutch learning, and then as you come out of turn 12 and over the brow, from P24 on the grid, which is 2 rows after the chevron wall ends, we are looking for 2 burnouts and 1 ramp, 2 burnouts and 1 ramp, but as ever, perform the extra ramp, rather than just coast it down into your pit box.

  14. Valtteri BOTTASMercedes

Engineer: So it looks like track temp is on its way down, 48 degrees, it was 49 on that metric, and air temp 20, also taken 1 degree down.

  15. Daniel RICCIARDORenault

Engineer: It's a good streak here, let's keep going, pick them up one by one, gonna get some good points and have fun.

  16. Daniel RICCIARDORenault

Audio only, no transcript available for this message.

  17. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

    Engineer: What

Lewis HAMILTON: do you think wing wise? Yeah I'm mindful of the rears just getting away from us, you know maybe stick half in.

    Engineer: Let's

Lewis HAMILTON: get those front pressures,

    Engineer: let's

Lewis HAMILTON: do that half a hull. Actually my diff is quite locked already, my high speed diff is quite locked already. I mean on the high speed obviously it's the amount of management that you're going to have to do in that six seven. Let's just lock it, yeah about.

  18. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: Don't know why but I've got a big difference between the two. Front brake.

  19. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: Nice work Lewis, so Vettel, car behind Give

Lewis HAMILTON: me two by now man, still not done

  20. Pierre GASLYRed Bull

Engineer: One-click overtake available, consider offset zero. You know the target now, good job, you know the target.

  21. Nico HULKENBERGRenault

    Engineer: SCENARIO 1 PLEASE

  22. Lando NORRISMcLaren

    Engineer: DRS is enabled

  23. Nico HULKENBERGRenault

Engineer: OK, suggest SOC 6 and use Overtake where necessary. Ah, these sub-guys.

Nico HULKENBERG: Quite a lot of my group available.

  24. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: Where am I losing sector-wise?

Engineer: Verstappen 13-0, Vettel 13-4, we'll get back to you So it's just the saving areas, so 6, 7 and 11

  25. Romain GROSJEANHaas

    Romain GROSJEAN: I

Engineer: know, I know, Sox 7, let's go Sox 7 now to build up some margin.

  26. Nico HULKENBERGRenault

Engineer: Suggest diff entry 8 to help stability.

  27. Antonio GIOVINAZZIAlfa Romeo

Engineer: So focus especially exit turn 12

  28. Daniel RICCIARDORenault

Daniel RICCIARDO: OK, your biggest limitation is just front grip at the moment.

    Engineer: OK, understood.

  29. Alexander ALBONRed Bull

Engineer: Well done, Alex. Keep hassling him if you think you can pass.

  30. George RUSSELLWilliams

George RUSSELL: Check left hand side bodywork, I think I might have had a tear off going there.

  31. Sebastian VETTELFerrari

Audio only, no transcript available for this message.

  32. Kevin MAGNUSSENHaas

Engineer: SOC 7, SOC 7 when you can. I'm sure you feel it, surface overheating is a big issue. It's a massive issue. Yeah, understood. I'm trying to manage as much as I can. Okay, understood, understood.

  33. Kevin MAGNUSSENHaas

    Kevin MAGNUSSEN: F***ing idiots.

  34. Kevin MAGNUSSENHaas

Engineer: Okay, we see some left hand front wing end plate damage, but no big arrow effect at the moment

  35. Valtteri BOTTASMercedes

Engineer: Pace at the front, 13.6, gap to Vettel, 4 seconds, arrow it down to 3.

  36. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: So gap to Verstappen 2.5, Vettel 2.4, Verstappen 13.7, Vettel 14.0, and to Valtteri the only loss is exit turn 12.

  37. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: Just give us an update on the tyres when you can.

Max VERSTAPPEN: Yeah, it's okay, I just picked up a bit of vibration on the left run somehow. Some bad, but a little bit.

    Engineer: Understood.

  38. Sebastian VETTELFerrari

Engineer: It was a very good lap, 3.6 for Verstappen.

  39. Sebastian VETTELFerrari

Engineer: We are on plan A plus two

  40. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: And let us know how much front wing you wanted to stop, 1.5 maybe 2? 1, 1-0 Copy

  41. Lando NORRISMcLaren

Engineer: And Lando, how are the tyres?

Lando NORRIS: Yeah, they're okay, I'm just stuck behind the guys ahead. Like, yeah, the tyres are fine.

Engineer: Yep, okay, understood. Stroll's still the car behind, he's two seconds back.

  42. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: Tires still good copy

  43. Carlos SAINZMcLaren

Engineer: Yeah, it's going to be difficult to pass Stroll on track. Copy, gap was 1.1 again, 1.1 this lap. Carlos, Stroll's pace is decent, his position is decent, so if there's no way past, then look after the tyres.

  44. Valtteri BOTTASMercedes

Engineer: So currently thinking plan B.

Valtteri BOTTAS: Based on the feeling at the moment, yes, agreed.

  45. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Max VERSTAPPEN: I wonder how long these tyres are going to go?

    Engineer: OK, copy Max.

  46. Carlos SAINZMcLaren

Carlos SAINZ: We'll have done a two-stop there, quite surely.

Engineer: It's very early to one-stop from here, Carlos. Very early to one-stop from here.

  47. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: So Verstappen 14-0 and the Vettel 14-1 Don't

    Lewis HAMILTON: miss this shot

  48. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: Box, pick and firm Max, box, pick and firm

  49. Carlos SAINZMcLaren

Engineer: Yes Carlos, scenario 8, scenario 8, great job.

  50. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Max VERSTAPPEN: What the f*** did they do?

  51. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

    Engineer: Come

Lewis HAMILTON: on guys give me the information with my batteries dead

  52. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Max VERSTAPPEN: OK, Alex, it needs to move now.

Engineer: He's aware, mate, he's aware, great stuff. Has a fantastic outland, Max. Gap is at 1.8, Max, 1.8. Mode 7, please, Max, mode 7. So ahead will be BOTAS, gap at 3.2, yet to pit.

  53. Sebastian VETTELFerrari

    Engineer: And box Sebastian, box.

  54. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: Okay, you'll have boost available when you need it and the overtake

  55. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: We're expecting Bottas to stay out.

  56. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: Do I have an engine problem?

  57. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: I think everything's okay, just temps are a little hot. You are still in Strap Mode 8.

  58. Charles LECLERCFerrari

Engineer: and we need you to push as much as you can so think about the tires think about the tires

  59. Carlos SAINZMcLaren

Engineer: Take care of the rears turn 12 watch the rear snaps there.

Carlos SAINZ: Yeah, I'm out of three guys. I'm not gonna last very long here

    Engineer: copy

  60. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

    Engineer: It's

Lewis HAMILTON: very hard to keep up with him, man.

    Engineer: Okay, copy Lewis.

  61. Romain GROSJEANHaas

Engineer: We'll be racing Norris Norris coming out the pits behind you now

  62. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: Yeah, I think we've gone to the wrong tyre. Should have been on the medium.

  63. Charles LECLERCFerrari

Engineer: And we are going to plan C, plan C.

  64. Carlos SAINZMcLaren

Carlos SAINZ: Okay, I need maximum focus. I have some pace here. Better pace than I thought.

Engineer: Yeah, copy Carlos. You're doing a good job. You have Gasly behind. Gasly plus two seconds.

  65. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: WITNESS, PICK IT UP!

    Engineer: Okay, copy.

  66. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: Gap to Verstappen is 2.4, Bettle is doing 12.4 at the moment, he's on 4 lap old medium tyres, gap to him is 11 seconds.

  67. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

    Engineer: Gap is at 2.5

  68. Antonio GIOVINAZZIAlfa Romeo

Engineer: So it's all looking okay, brake, entire side, no lift-off, turn 1, no lift-off.

  69. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: It's got wind here right?

Engineer: We're not seeing a big increase

  70. Sebastian VETTELFerrari

Engineer: And we are on plan B, plan B, Hamilton is struggling with the soft, seems like, I'll let you know.

  71. Daniel RICCIARDORenault

Engineer: Ok, and how is the balance?

Daniel RICCIARDO: Stable for now. Still a bit more front than rear attack.

Engineer: Ok, understood. So last lap you will want, then quicker than Perez and Grosjean.

  72. Carlos SAINZMcLaren

Carlos SAINZ: What are the top teams doing, one or two stop?

Engineer: Looks like the top teams are mixed Carlos, first ones fitted on lap 20, Leclerc fitted lap 29.

  73. Sebastian VETTELFerrari

Engineer: They are faster than the leaders, very good pace.

  74. Sebastian VETTELFerrari

Engineer: We are faster than the leaders, very good pace, boat has lap time 13.1 in free air, 13.1

  75. Sebastian VETTELFerrari

Engineer: Tire's life is slightly less than expected, but it's all peachy at the moment.

Sebastian VETTEL: Yeah, for now, yes. We'll start probably...

    Engineer: Copy.

  76. Valtteri BOTTASMercedes

    Engineer: Can it

Valtteri BOTTAS: be updated on the wind? Is it spinning around because the Subaru inconsistent the balance?

Engineer: Very firm VAR treaties, the other car has got the same issue.

  77. Valtteri BOTTASMercedes

Engineer: So we're thinking two-stop is okay to use the tires. We need to protect against undercut from album

  78. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Max VERSTAPPEN: I think the wind is picking up.

Engineer: Both Mercedes cars complain of similar issues actually Max.

  79. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Audio only, no transcript available for this message.

  80. Daniel RICCIARDORenault

Engineer: OK, and how are the tyres?

Daniel RICCIARDO: I feel, yeah, they're just hanging on, but they're OK. Just gotta manage it.

    Engineer: OK, understood.

Daniel RICCIARDO: Quite easy to oversleep both axles, but it's OK for now.

    Engineer: Copy that.

  81. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: It's time to f*** man.

  82. Carlos SAINZMcLaren

Carlos SAINZ: Do you mean we give up on Gasly?

Engineer: Copy Carlos, focus on getting to the end, we can beat the Alphas, we can get points, that's the target.

Carlos SAINZ: Where are the Alphas?

    Engineer: Raikkonen 18 seconds ahead.

  83. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: What are you waiting for? I'll get any closer than this

  84. Charles LECLERCFerrari

Engineer: So we are raising bottles to the end is with medium

  85. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: Oh my goodness, Outlap critical

Lewis HAMILTON: Yeah man, I realise

  86. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

    Engineer: Boost on.

  87. Lance STROLLRacing Point

Lance STROLL: Keep getting a fuel alarm.

Engineer: Copy, don't worry about that. We're watching that.

  88. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: You did a very good job on that last in, same again please.

  89. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: OK, so that's 27 laps to the NMAX, 27 laps. You did a very good job on that last in, same again please.

  90. Kimi RAIKKONENAlfa Romeo

Engineer: Ok Kimi, you can see your front left tyre on the cold side, but it's very stable. How is it going for you?

Kimi RAIKKONEN: Yeah, the rear starts sliding.

  91. Sebastian VETTELFerrari

Engineer: And stay out, stay out. One more lap.

  92. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

    Lewis HAMILTON: People power

  93. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: Last lap Hamilton, 11.3, gap at 1.8

  94. Sebastian VETTELFerrari

Sebastian VETTEL: Focus now, there's too much traffic, guys.

    Engineer: Okay, understood.

  95. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: Let's continue to monitor the right rear peak temperature, Max.

  96. Valtteri BOTTASMercedes

Audio only, no transcript available for this message.

  97. Valtteri BOTTASMercedes

    Engineer: Lost the power. Copy.

  98. Carlos SAINZMcLaren

Engineer: Carlos, let's use scenario 7 now, use scenario 7 while we take the sting out of Raikkonen's tyres, go and get Grosjean, he's the car in front.

  99. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Max VERSTAPPEN: Lewis didn't slow down enough, man.

Engineer: Yeah, I saw that, Max.

  100. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: I hate this too long

  101. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

    Engineer: Box, box, opposite Verstappen.

  102. Sebastian VETTELFerrari

Sebastian VETTEL: How many places do we lose in the box?

Engineer: We don't have good tyres. We don't have good tyres available.

Sebastian VETTEL: We have foam poly, one lap.

Engineer: No negative, because we had a damage. Stay positive, stay positive.

Sebastian VETTEL: That's only one tyre. I stay out? Stay out, stay out. Okay, too late.

  103. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: What tyre has he gone to? So he's gone to the soft tyre Are you going to give me some power? So if you pre-select Strat Mode 5, we've got everything we've got at the moment

  104. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

    Engineer: Let me

Lewis HAMILTON: sit that one out.

  105. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: Safety car needs to speed up man, geez

  106. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: What corner does the safety car usually come in? Lights go out. It'll

Engineer: be between 10 and 11 will be the lights out

  107. Charles LECLERCFerrari

Charles LECLERC: Tell me when cars may overtake. No, they did, but next time try to remember.

    Engineer: Copy, will do.

  108. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: Struggling to keep tempo in these sides, man.

  109. Carlos SAINZMcLaren

Engineer: Carlos, use overtake on the main straight to discharge the pack. If you can, use overtake to discharge the pack. Pack too full, brake temperature is too high.

  110. Carlos SAINZMcLaren

Engineer: Carlos you may not overtake while the safety car is out you can stay close to Grosjean free pace but you may not overtake

  111. Daniel RICCIARDORenault

Engineer: OK, so we are expecting now to go the full race distance, and we are still OK on the fuel.

  112. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Lewis HAMILTON: How old are my tyres man? I don't know if I'm going to be

    Engineer: able

Lewis HAMILTON: to keep them behind.

    Engineer: So there, 15 laps.

  113. Charles LECLERCFerrari

Engineer: And multifunction mix position 8, mix 8 when you can, and you are doing a good job with the tires

  114. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: Come on mate, you've done this once, already on the same compound.

  115. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Max VERSTAPPEN: Hey you slow down!

Engineer: Just watch you don't pass before the line

  116. Romain GROSJEANHaas

Romain GROSJEAN: Yeah, I've got massive issue on the engine

  117. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Audio only, no transcript available for this message.

  118. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Audio only, no transcript available for this message.

  119. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: You are the man, mate. Come on. Fantastic. Let's pull away.

  120. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

    Engineer: engine 12, position 1, engine 12, position 1, gap 3.3

  121. Daniel RICCIARDORenault

Engineer: I'll overtake available if you need it.

  122. Sebastian VETTELFerrari

Sebastian VETTEL: Look, tank chair, what the hell is he doing? Sorry. Tank chair. Mein Gott, muss

    Engineer: das

Sebastian VETTEL: sein! Sei ein Fuckmister, Rauch!

  123. Charles LECLERCFerrari

Charles LECLERC: the hell come on

  124. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Max VERSTAPPEN: Now there's a lot of debris everywhere.

    Engineer: Understood.

  125. Charles LECLERCFerrari

    Engineer: What the hell?

  126. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: So just focus on keeping temperature in the front, the rears are still over optimum temperature.

  127. Carlos SAINZMcLaren

Engineer: Carlos, keep letting us know about debris, keep letting us know about debris.

Carlos SAINZ: Yeah, debris are still there, no one has cleared them, so for the moment we cannot race, it's very dangerous.

    Engineer: Copy.

  128. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: OK, let's see if we can have a strat one with the brake warming off, front calipers again, hot again.

  129. Daniel RICCIARDORenault

Engineer: So we're stopping holding the pack up. Two laps to go. Let's have some fun.

  130. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: The car behind is Gasly. Final lap, Max. Final lap. Bring it home.

    Max VERSTAPPEN: Are they out?

    Engineer: They're at the back.

  131. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: Alright, that's the race win. That is the race win. You absolutely bossed it. Magic today. Absolutely bossed it. Fantastic. We did this as a team, guys. Unbelievable. What a race. Oh, I loved it. Redemption, Max. Absolute redemption from last year. Brilliant race. Brilliant race. Exactly. And I think the way we fought for it made it even better. Thank you, guys. Great day.

  132. Pierre GASLYRed Bull

Engineer: Pizzu! Pizzu! Woohoo! Woohoo! Woohoo!

  133. Pierre GASLYRed Bull

Pierre GASLY: I just did it

    Engineer: Oh thank

    Pierre GASLY: you, thank

    Engineer: you

Pierre GASLY: Pierre this is your turn that one Unbelievable Oh my god Oh my god Unbelievable Pierre, unreal Oh my god this is the best day of my life

    Engineer: Guys

Pierre GASLY: thank you, thank you so much Amazing You are amazing, you guys are amazing Thank you

  134. Max VERSTAPPENRed Bull

Engineer: Spare a thought for Alex, I think he was harshly knocked out at turn 10 there by Lewis, otherwise he was on for his first podium.

Max VERSTAPPEN: Yeah that was a shame, we could have been both on the podium here.

Engineer: Mate honestly that outlap after the first stop, proper racing, fantastic.

Max VERSTAPPEN: Yeah we had to.

  135. Lewis HAMILTONMercedes

Engineer: That's a great effort there Lewis, that's a P3 mate, sorry about that bud, a couple of bad decisions in hindsight We'll see where this all washes out

    Lewis HAMILTON: Yeah

Engineer: guys, sorry about that, I raced as hard as I could man, there was nothing left in this car

    Lewis HAMILTON: We've

Engineer: got to improve, that's for sure, but anyways, thanks for trying Yeah thank you mate, thank you for trying

  136. Carlos SAINZMcLaren

    Carlos SAINZ: Yes!

Engineer: Great job mate! P4. Who thought it? P4. Scenario 1 Carlos, I am a big fan of your work. Oh,

    Carlos SAINZ: can't

Engineer: believe it guys. Scenario 1 mate, Scenario 1. Unbelievable drive. P20 to P4. I

Carlos SAINZ: cannot believe it. As simple as that. What a drive. Thank you guys. Perfect execution. Good risk-reward. Amazing, amazing. Thank you guys. What do you think? Do you think that was a smooth operator? Smooth operator. I think that was the smoothest operation of my life. Yeah

Engineer: man, you suck. You sent them. Yeah boy.

  137. Alexander ALBONRed Bull

Audio only, no transcript available for this message.

  138. Alexander ALBONRed Bull

    Alexander ALBON: We're only going

    Engineer: to

    Alexander ALBON: have

    Engineer: to

Alexander ALBON: do f***ing weeks. V-Bow

    Engineer: 2. V-Bow 2. Mate! That f***ing

Alexander ALBON: hurts when you're playing.

    Engineer: We're only

Alexander ALBON: going to have to do f***ing weeks.

Engineer: Yeah, I know, mate. I'm sorry. Fail. 84. Fail. Fail. 84. Fail. Mate, you did an excellent job today. Hard luck. Hard luck, Alex. That was robbed at the end there. F***!

Alexander ALBON: On to the next one, I guess. Are you kidding me? To be honest, I don't know. I need to take it. I don't know.

Engineer: Yeah, mate. I know. It's under investigation. Just think of all the positives. You did an awesome job today, mate. Well done. Chin up, Alex. You drove a great race today.

Alexander ALBON: No. No. No. No. Well, thank you, everyone. It would have been really good. Congratulations, anyway. Well done to Max.

  139. Antonio GIOVINAZZIAlfa Romeo

    Engineer: Well done.

Antonio GIOVINAZZI: P6. Yes, guys. Yes.

Engineer: Great race, Antonio. Good job. Well done.

  140. Romain GROSJEANHaas

Engineer: Okay, dude, that's the checker. That's the checker. Yeah. Yeah. Good drive on your part, dude. Good management. That was working well. You deserved a better result than that, but good job, dude. Really sorry about that, Roman. You drove very well. You drove very well, man. Heads up. Yeah, it's a science thing. Really, really not. Really not. Sportsman. Really not. Sorry, boys. We deserved better today. Sorry. Sorry. Just all that for the season.

  141. Lando NORRISMcLaren

Engineer: And Lando it's a great result from the team. What you did with Carlos was massively helpful to Carlos's result as well and that's noted from us all here.

Lando NORRIS: Yeah but I mean I don't do it out of choice. I do it because I'm slow. It's not your fault it's things I need to do better that's all.

    Engineer: So

Lando NORRIS: yeah congrats for the team good result for us. I don't know what that means for the constructors if it means anything yet but now it's a tough weekend I think but we obviously got a good result together so well done boys.

Engineer: Mate you are not slow the hard is just a really tough tyre.

  142. Kevin MAGNUSSENHaas

Engineer: Checkered flag, checkered flag, checkered flag. P11, Kevin, you gave it a good go. Very close, man. You gave it all it had, Kevin. Just the car's not good enough out of 12. You gave it everything you had. Man, good job. Very good drive, man. Very good recover. Well done. It sucks, but well done.

  143. Sergio PEREZRacing Point

Engineer: P4 Sainz, then Räikkönen, Giovinazzi, Ricciardo, Norris yourself P9, then Kvyat P10 Oh

    Sergio PEREZ: f***

  144. Nico HULKENBERGRenault

Nico HULKENBERG: Can you, you know, can you explain what happened in that race, how we just ended up back and back, is it just pace or?

Engineer: No I can't explain that at the moment Nico, we'll talk about it afterwards. And you were given a five second penalty for that restart, so I don't know where that puts you, further back than P12.

Nico HULKENBERG: Yeah, apologies, that at 300 with 18 cars around I didn't track that, my mistake, too bad.

  145. Daniil KVYATToro Rosso

Engineer: Well that was an interesting end. P13, P13.

George RUSSELL: Yeah, I can't feel it, I gave it everything, but... Yeah, I gave it everything.

Engineer: It's nice to have people in a position to have a battle for a bit. OK, well done. What

    George RUSSELL: was your order?

Engineer: It was fairly chaotic, it was Verstappen, then Gasly, Hamilton, Sainz in P4, then Räikkönen, Giovinazzi, Ricciardo in 7th, Norris in 8th, Perez in 9th, Kvyat in 10th. Hülkenberg was under investigation. OK, that's come through as a penalty for Hülkenberg, so we are P12 ahead of Hülkenberg.
