Every message, in the order it happened
ZHOU Guanyu: The cable is getting stuck a little bit like last year. Make sure we can get it fixed.
Engineer: Copy that, we will fix.
Max VERSTAPPEN: Be a
Engineer: little
Max VERSTAPPEN: bit careful with
Engineer: the
Max VERSTAPPEN: blowing because this air can't breathe.
Engineer: Nice and aggressive on the tyres during this formation lap.
Esteban OCON: The bite point find didn't work, the first one.
Engineer: Okay, understood. We'll have a look at that.
Engineer: So
George RUSSELL: you're gonna let me back pass or?
Lando NORRIS: Lewis needs to give the position back, he just brakes way too late, he committed to it so he needs to give two positions back
Engineer: Understood Lando, we've already raised it with the race director
Lando NORRIS: Yeah but they're going to do it for George but he just committed to going off so of course he could brake a lot later than me you know
Lewis HAMILTON: That's why we're doing it.
Yuki TSUNODA: I have a puncture, I think. Yeah, I perished, just perished. Just perished, honestly.
Engineer: as
Alexander ALBON: soon as you get within half a second it's incredible how little fight we have
Engineer: And target gap to Sainz, we need three seconds. At the moment it's 1.0.
Carlos SAINZ: I could go forever at this place.
Engineer: Yeah, it looks like they're gonna sacrifice the clerk
Charles LECLERC: I think Carlos is clogged up.
Engineer: Copy understood.
Engineer: Max, I will say it again, there is no merit at this stage in being within one second of Ocon. Signs are still doing 40.3s. We've been here before, we've been hurt before. You might not think you are pushing, Max, but the effective V-ratio, as we've seen before, is very low.
Engineer: Gap to science target 3
Engineer: So gap to Sainz in front 2.3 and we need five seconds in five laps
Engineer: Let me know
George RUSSELL: what our best shot of win of this race is, what I need to do.
Engineer: So we need to keep the pressure on these Ferraris.
Engineer: Oscar, possible brief and light rain shower approaching, could be here in five minutes, pit lane would get wet first. On the radar this would be class one and last only a couple of minutes.
Charles LECLERC: What happened there?
Engineer: We had to hold you for traffic
Engineer: what do you think is the plan for this the plan is to keep the pack together so don't pull away it'll be doable it's max behind on used hard and watch for debris still, debris on track still
Lewis HAMILTON: That was all okay in the box, right?
Engineer: Yeah, copy. Yep, that's all okay. Just trying not to hit car, that's all. Let's slow it down. Yep, roger.
Nico HULKENBERG: Feel like I've lost brake efficiency. Are they cold brake
Engineer: temps are okay. We're checking everything
Engineer: Russell one second behind, if you keep the pack bunched up he cannot do two stops, Russell cannot do two stops.
Sergio PEREZ: Hamilton, run off the track, he went off.
Engineer: Yeah, we saw it.
Sergio PEREZ: Come on, give me the position now.
George RUSSELL: Yeah he's managing a lot, he's very slow, I guess he's trying to back us up.
Engineer: Keep an eye on these tires
Max VERSTAPPEN: So driving on ice
Engineer: I want to go
George RUSSELL: for this wind.
Engineer: Yeah, we understand. We're on the same page, mate.
Engineer: You
Carlos SAINZ: let me know when you think it's good to push. I still have one second of facing half.
Engineer: That's good.
Sergio PEREZ: Let's box. Let's box. Let's box. Stay
Engineer: out. Stay out.
Engineer: Science reporting he still has a second of pace in hand
Fernando ALONSO: This is un-driveable.
Engineer: So Norris has DRS, let's start pushing science along now
Esteban OCON: Oh
Engineer: no!
Engineer: Science
George RUSSELL: is driving unnecessarily slow, he's three, four seconds up on his delta.
Nico HULKENBERG: What the hell, it lost, it must have been, it's lost to state legal then I'm very surprised.
Engineer: Both Mercedes pit it new medium. I
Charles LECLERC: think it is the right choice Consider even a lap later
Engineer: We'll come back to you So we are staying out
Carlos SAINZ: How is the space?
Engineer: Read faster if you can, till the end.
Engineer: Okay Valtteri, no more shifts, no more shifts, we need to stop the car on track, stop the car. Okay, sorry for that.
Engineer: That
Lewis HAMILTON: was a gap 7
Engineer: seconds Norris
Lewis HAMILTON: Too big a gap for us to catch
Engineer: Negative, let's go for it
Charles LECLERC: Yeah, they're real right guys he's completely gone
Carlos SAINZ: Cop to Lando, every lap.
Engineer: Copy that.
Engineer: Russell 1.1 Hamilton 2.2 Yeah I got it, I can see that
Engineer: Lando 0.8 behind, 0.8 with DRS, Russell no DRS Yeah, it's on purpose Copy that
Charles LECLERC: I'm just trying not to put it in the world.
Engineer: Copy that.
Lewis HAMILTON: George needs to pick up the base if he can.
Engineer: Copy that.
George RUSSELL: Ah!
Engineer: No!
George RUSSELL: No!
Engineer: And P1, baby, P1! Vamos!
Carlos SAINZ: Vamos Fred! Vamos Ricky!
Engineer: What a mega job you did there! What a smart race!
Carlos SAINZ: You know what? This is my first smooth operation in Ferrari! Smooth operator!
Engineer: Well done
Lando NORRIS: Oh f**k
Engineer: I hit the wall Okay just bring it back carefully Bring it back carefully I don't know but f**k B2 Let's go
Lewis HAMILTON: Mago job boys, Mago job. Such good pace at the end there. Yeah mate, you looked super strong. Yeah, great work by everyone.
Engineer: An
Lando NORRIS: awesome job, boys and girls. Thank you so much. It was a tough one. Amazing result. Thank you. I love you all so much.
Carlos SAINZ: Ricky! We won Singapore, my friend! Did I... great? Did I cry? What a ledge!
Engineer: Ken Piffo
Charles LECLERC: Grandissimo! Grandissimo Carlos
Lewis HAMILTON: Another lap man!
Engineer: Yes mate, yes! Just one more lap and I would have done it but great job there mate, so that's P3 and fastest lap
Lewis HAMILTON: Sir, yeah I hear you Toto
Engineer: Thanks
Lewis HAMILTON: so much for the support for the positive words It's not the easiest of weekends but good result in the end, thank you
Engineer: Great
Lewis HAMILTON: pit stops guys
George RUSSELL: Oh, no,
Engineer: no, guys, what a rookie, oh my goodness.
Max VERSTAPPEN: Yeah, I gave it all. I was a bit unlucky. Still, I think, some OK points, I guess, after a difficult weekend.
Engineer: Yeah, well done, Max. That was a really strong drive today. As GP said, we got had over by the safety car. But your comeback after the stop was very, very strong. So without a safety car, I think it could have been a better race for us today. But good job.
Max VERSTAPPEN: Yeah, pushed till the end. It was quite good. Quite cool.
Engineer: It's been a hell of a run. And yeah, it was always going to come to a close at one point. But brush ourselves down and go again next weekend.
Max VERSTAPPEN: Yeah, it's OK. They can take one. We'll go again next week.
Engineer: Check of flag Oscar. Well done mate. Well done. Finished P7. Really good job mate. 10 places in the race. Fantastic.
Oscar PIASTRI: Thank you. Well done. And well done to Lando as well. I saw he was there for a lot of the race. Well done everybody. Thank you to my guys. I know we're missing a couple of people.
Engineer: Nice
Oscar PIASTRI: to get some points after yesterday. So thank you very much. And looking forward to Japan next week. Cheers guys.
Engineer: Nice one mate, well managed. Well, it's not easy to do that last stint and I had to stay patient doing the first stint But well managed P6
Pierre GASLY: Yeah, very good recovery guys Very good recovery I'm very happy I managed to turn things around from Friday to now, so can be very pleased with that and Yeah, let's keep working, keep working, there is potential a little bit to put our elbows out
Engineer: That
Pierre GASLY: was fun
Engineer: and just again just fantastic so happy for you happy for us thanks
Kevin MAGNUSSEN: man likewise mate good job man proud of everyone proud of everyone guys in the garage thanks man
Kevin MAGNUSSEN: Even you, Gunther.
Engineer: Joe, we finished P12, solid race from your side, started from the garage, from the pit lane, very good race, bit unfortunate with the safety car, but good performance Joe, P12.
ZHOU Guanyu: Yeah, thank you guys, it was a good try, we found something quite positive going for next year's event.
Engineer: Hi Nico, it's IO here. Yeah, you are right. Missed opportunity. Really sorry. We should have stopped under VSC You missed out on the points. Apologies about that
Engineer: Ok, P8 in the end there. P8. Didn't catch a break today. Saved the car, BSC. All at the wrong time.
Sergio PEREZ: Yeah, f***. Nothing worked. Ah, what a weekend overall, guys. Um, yeah. Let's move on to Japan.
Engineer: Yeah, bring on Suzuka. We'll have some fun there. Uh, just for your awareness, we're under investigation. Well, there is an investigation for a BSC infringement. Uh, when you came out alongside Alex. Um, investigated for causing a collision between you and Alex at turn 13. Obviously not saying anything about which way that's falling, just saying it's being looked at.
Sergio PEREZ: Yeah. I mean, ain't none of them. I think we're, we're okay. That was a pretty busy 250 years race, Checo. Um, but, uh, you know, the pace car, or safety car, came out just wrong time for us, but, uh, well done for sticking with it right to the end. Yeah. Yeah, guys. What a weekend. Anyway. Um, let's go on to Suzuka. I'm sure it will be a lot better.
Engineer: Yeah, bring on.
Sergio PEREZ: Did Hamilton get anything for leaving the track?
Engineer: No, they let him off for that one.
Sergio PEREZ: Haha. Okay.
Alexander ALBON: OK, checkered flag, checkered flag, P11, P11. It's just f***ing dirty. Did he get anything for it? He's under investigation for causing a collision with himself and then Lawson as well. Desperate, completely desperate. Well done everyone, I think the strategy was amazing there. We almost pulled off an amazing race, I still think we did. This is maybe our weakest track, so if we're like this on our weakest one then he's looking good.
Engineer: He
Alexander ALBON: tried to do that move to me two or three times before and I had to miss him and just pull out last minute to stop him from hitting me. So sorry, but I can't do that every single time he tries to take a lunge and take avoiding action. I thought he would have this one eye control but he didn't.
Engineer: It was a good race Alex, as you say. The strategy was on point, you did the best with what you had there. Good work, we'll review it after the race.
Engineer: And that's P9 for you today, and I think that's probably going to stay P9, it's 11 seconds to Pérez But that's the Red Bull, good effort, good fighting up there Okay mate, P9, you should be pleased with that, we've got Pascal ahead of us I think you've defended very very hard, that
Liam LAWSON: was a good job Mate I gave that everything, there's nothing left Yeah
Engineer: that's what we need, that's why you're here mate Okay very good race mate, and you've got a lot of coverage, you should be pleased, you should be pleased Same again next week, no time to rest
Liam LAWSON: Oh copy that, thank you guys for the hard work, it's good to get a couple of points
Engineer: I
Liam LAWSON: feel like we've missed out on a bit but you guys did a good job, and I really gave that everything
Engineer: And we will do a practice start festival in Japan, practice start festival in Japan, please not I
Liam LAWSON: know mate, I know, apologies guys because that's not good enough Honestly
Engineer: That's okay, that's why we're here, we'll keep working And good job mate, and I'm happy to get points, it's been a long long season so far, I'm happy
Engineer: I
Logan SARGEANT: gave you everything from lap one. I never gave up. I'm sorry for the front wing. I need to clean that up.
Engineer: A lot of learning, mate. All we can. Good approach. Good way of looking forward.
Logan SARGEANT: It was a good race, Logan. Good learning for you there and pace at the end was strong.
