Austrian Grand Prix 2019: Practice 3 team radio
25 radio messages were recorded during practice 3 at the Austrian Grand Prix 2019, across 14 drivers. 23 of them have a transcript; the rest are audio only. Pierre GASLY had the most, with 4.
These are transcripts of real team radio audio, produced by speech recognition and presented as an archive rather than as edited prose. Radio is clipped and noisy, so wording can be imperfect. Each message is attributed to the driver or their engineer, and the original audio is playable in the archive.

Engineer: We've got about nine minutes before next run
Daniel RICCIARDO: Okay Yeah, all fine from my side. I'll stay put
Engineer: Feedback was that was good on the marks Good, I think I scared the photographer Good job
Engineer: And watch out for Carlos, Carlos will probably come past you and we are boxed this lap.
Alexander ALBON: I feel like I'm
Engineer: going
Alexander ALBON: to struggle to get the recharge up before my next push.
Engineer: Can
Alexander ALBON: I do double? Cool.
Engineer: You can do double, you can do double, but we should be ok for recharge, that's the main issue.
Carlos SAINZ: I can see quite a lot of smoke coming out of the brakes when I hit the pedal.
Engineer: Copy, that's not unusual, new brakes, no concern. Box this lap.
Pierre GASLY: Ayo, low power, low power.
Engineer: Copy.
Pierre GASLY: Really low on power.
Engineer: Understood, we're looking.
Daniil KVYAT: What happened with so much atmosphere now, out of nowhere, in the high seat?
Engineer: Yeah, we can't see it.
Daniil KVYAT: If we have no high-speed gain, it's useless.
Sergio PEREZ: The Haas ahead is making burnouts on the building
Pierre GASLY: Feels quite low again out of 10-3.
Engineer: Copy.
Engineer: Box box box box
Engineer: We are happy to continue, Pierre.
Lance STROLL: Losing so much grip on both axles every lap.
Engineer: I'll do a second cool, second cool. Do
Lance STROLL: you think that's going to help though because I'm missing just massive grip.
Engineer: It is an option tyre so yeah I don't know Lance we'll just see if it does improve or not.
Engineer: And bought us on a time-lapse of 15 seconds.
Sebastian VETTEL: What do you think of a double cool-down? Okay, I agree with you. Yeah, let's go for that.

Max VERSTAPPEN: Ah, the changes we made were not good.
Engineer: Okay.
Lewis HAMILTON: There's a little bit more there, guys, I really feel that we need to... Can I do half a lap, please?
Engineer: OK, copy, so abort the next lap, I'm coming.
Max VERSTAPPEN: Yeah, I got lag.
Engineer: the grip level is um not as expected so if you have any suggestions okay i'm just still just watching kibia six seconds behind he'll be pushing
Lance STROLL: No matter of damage on the front wing so
Engineer: we'll have a look as you come past
Antonio GIOVINAZZI: John I think I lost a piece from front wing. We need to box John, I'm sure I'll do some damage.
Engineer: Copy Antonio.
Audio only, no transcript available for this message.
Daniil KVYAT: My tire is gone now, but first time off was a bit of understeer and felt a bit on the cold side, struggling to feel where it is, and as a consequence also initial turn in is not great, and turn 4 I have a little initial over-rotation too.
