Autodromo Nazionale Monza

Monza is the Temple of Speed. Long straights and a handful of quick chicanes demand the lowest-downforce setup of the year, and a lap becomes an exercise in slipstreaming, late braking and carrying maximum speed. Cars are trimmed out for the straights, which leaves them nervous under braking and edgy through the corners, exactly the compromise the circuit is built to expose. Getting the car to ride the chicane kerbs without unsettling it is central to a fast lap.

One of the oldest purpose-built racing circuits in the world, set in a royal park near Milan, Monza carries an enormous weight of history and a famously fervent home crowd. Its speed and heritage give it a place in the sport that few other tracks can rival.
